That most incontrovertible wonder of it all
Is how irretrievably deep you can fall
Into the deep pull of terminal gravity
Of his soulful blue-grey and ever eyes;
Arrest, imprison, undisputed authority
When they promise and hypnotize,
So you succumb and you resign
So you give in and you surrender,
So you plunge in that unwavering line
So you fly even as you go down under…
The most inexplicable wonder of it all
Is how willing and continuing you WILL fall
(typed out on 26/7/09 in a mood for writing indulgent poetry about different parts of Rob's body!! confession that Rob was only the excuse for this...i was missing my husband at the time as i was away from home on a writing project)
