The brave new world in cyberspace

JAG, as surely as the sun will rise
You have not failed to surprise!
Yet another generous offering
of wonderful talents show-casing!
Bless you all who celebrate our lovely Rob
Bless his mother for a lovely job
of creating this lovely lively soul
oh, and bless his father for his role!

To all those talented digital creators out there
thanks for the products you make and share
though your pictures are worth a million words
accept my humble gift, o wizard nerds!

Who would have known it?
Who could have predicted?
The salvation sought for, all through the world,
From time immemorial –
Is now at hand.
Behold the brave new world in cyberspace!
Sans borders, non-territorial –
A bold inclusive land.

The citizens are independent and free,
They choose to stay, they choose to be,
They are in every way unbound.
They speak with a new unfettered tongue;
Their images are diverse and fresh and young –
They roar their cybersound!
The freedoms we thought to liberate,
The world peace we tried to negotiate –
Eluded us at every turn.

Yet this daring and bold digital domain
May be the last hope to remain –
If we have courage enough to learn…
There, each brings their unique hope -
A dream, an image, a vision, a scope –
All are witnessed with curious eye and ear;
They show and ask anything, they expect nothing –
They get all shades from everyone of everything;
But they do not resile, they have no fear!

Oh, these young and uninitiated
Oh, these gloriously wise and opinionated -
They have created a playspace of marvel!
Us, oft-impatient and older watchers,
Must commend and bless these cyber-lodgers!
They might just save our Big Blue Marble!

Who would have known it?
Who could have predicted?
This brave new world in cyberspace!
Difference is the norm there,
Liberty is in the air there,
There is hope yet for the human race!

None would have known it,
None could have predicted.
But, let us venture where none has gone before -
To cyber-Utopia through the cyber-door!
For now that we know it,
Now that we see it,
We must surely pledge to keep it!
